You may sometimes run into a problem when placing an ad.
Sending Form Problem (Form Not Sent)
You may have an app installed on your computer which blocks some scripts (programs) which are running on this site. Oftentimes, it could be a poorly configured antivirus with an anti banner module enabled or, anti-banner app (Adblock, NoScript, Adguard, Ad Blocker и т.д.).
The simplest solution is to allow showing banners and script execution in module/program settings on «Opor.ng» .
A picture upload problem
  1. Our website supports two types of photo upload methods:
    • HTML5 (is used by default)

      For fulfilling and comfortable user experience when uploading pictures you need to have a browser which supports HTML5 (any modern browser supports this technology)... If your browser supports HTML5 you will see a green photo select button.
      This download method allows you to process files directly from the camera, without any major limitations in size.
    • HTML, sending together with the form

      For hopelessly outdated browsers or maximum security computers with special settings, Adblock or Antibanner might be installed on them and, in case of unforeseen errors, the easiest method of downloading a photo would be sending it along with the form.
      In this case you will see 5 standard fields for selecting files.
      This download method enables you to process files smaller than 1Mb, up to 1024x1024 pixels (we recommend reducing all photos beforehand).
      It is important to understand that, in this case the files will be sent alongside with the form, as a result of which the timeout for sending is significantly increased and could exceed 15 seconds. If after 30 seconds the site gives you an unknown error, most likely the size of one or more pictures significantly exceeds 1MB.
  2. The photo selection button can’t be clicked.

    A useful tip: in order not to lose previously entered data, post an ad without a photo and open it for editing.
    Possible solution: press Ctrl+F5 to reload a page and all site scripts.

Any registered user can place up to 1000 ads.
How do I edit my ad?
There are two ways of editing your ads, depending on the way you added them.

Option A: if an ad was added by a registered (authorised) user.
In this case, you should enteryour ad’s Personal profile -> Объявления (you have to log in to your account in order to enter your Personal profile).
This section shows those ads which you have added as a registered user.
In order to edit your ad press “edit” which is next to every ad.

Option B: if an ad was added by an unregistered user.
In this case, you should find your ad, click on its title and go to the page where it would be displayed. At the bottom of the page, after your contact information, you will see a link/block Manage your ad with the link in it “Manage your Ad”. Follow the link and enter the password which you’ve used to add your ad. If your password is correct, you will be able to edit your ad.

How do I delete my ad?
There are two ways of removing your ads yourself, depending on the way you added them.

Option A: if an ad was added by a registered (authorized) user
In this case, you should enter your ad’s Personal profile -> Объявления (you have to log in to your account in order to enter your Personal profile.).
This section shows those ads which you have added as a registered user.
Click the “Remove” link which is next to each ad to edit your ad.

Option B: if an ad was added by an unregistered user.
In this case, you should find your ad, click on its title and go to the page where it would be displayed. At the bottom of the page, after your contact information, you will see a link/block Manage your ad with the link in it “Delete an Ad”. Follow the link and enter the password which you’ve used to add your ad. If your password is correct, your ad gets immediately deleted.

How do I update my ads?
The «update ads» function is available for registered users from your personal profile. account.
You’ve got two options for updating your ads:
  • updating each ad individually: this function is available if at least 3 days have passed since the last update;
  • Batch update of all your ads: Those ads which haven’t been updated in the last 7 days will be updated;

Those ads which are currently under restrictions cannot be updated. You should first edit your ads in order to lift those restrictions.

Unregistered users can manually update ads. In order to do this, you have to open your ad for editing and save it (you do not need to make any changes to it). You can update your ads this way every once in three days.

A note: "to update your ad" means to raise your ad to top positions and get it to show on the front page in a specific category.

How do I recover my ad from the archive?
To recover your ad from the archive you have to open for editing, Validate/update your data if necessary and save.
What if restrictions have been applied to your account?
Restrictions will apply if you find ads with the same or very similar:
  • headers
  • texts (including first similar sounding paragraphs)
  • pictures.
In this case, all these ads belong to the same user (also, in case a user has several accounts);

Restrictions apply to specific ads and not to a user account as a whole;

Ads to which restrictions have been applied:

  • cannot be raised to the top positions/category pages;
  • can’t be searched by a keyword;
  • are often ineffective;

In order to lift restrictions you should edit your (restricted) ad and make it sound unique according to the mentioned above parameters: the header, the text and your pictures. Restrictions will be lifted right after you make those changes.

Restrictions would be applied and lifted automatically! Restrictions cannot be manually “removed” by the moderator.

What is an Ad ID? How do I know my Ad ID?
An ad ID is a unique number which is assigned to an ad at the time it is added and remains unchanged.

Highlighting your Ads and special ad placement
The advantages of highlighting your ads (special placement)
  • Highlighted ads can be seen on the first pages (front pages) in their categories most of the time .

    This is achieved by updating those ads automatically every 15 or 20 minutes or, even more often. At the time of a scheduled update, your ads get raised to the top in their categories. If you selected more than one ad in a category, your ads would be randomly shuffled.;

  • You also get to manually update your ads without the last update time limit but, up to 50 updates per day. Once you apply this feature, your minimum refresh (update) interval is going to be set to 15 minutes.

    Restrictions were applied: 7.10.2018, the reason: automated updates used by some users, which enabled a user to refresh his/her ad once in every 5 seconds.;

  • Your ad is going to be additionally highlighted, your extra pictures are also going to be shown (please see the screenshot, click on it to enlarge);
  • There’re no other advertisements or similar ad blocs on your ad page.;
  • For a small extra fee your ad could be posted on the frontpage (if there’s space available);
  • All this will significantly increase your ad’s presence, generate you more views and improve its effectiveness!
Your instructions on how to highlight your ad (special ad placement).
  1. Login to your account;
  2. Place your ad (you can place an ad free of charge);
  3. Find out the cost of highlighting your ad in a particular category (there are discounts, depending on a specific category)
    • In order to find out the cost of highlighting your ad you have to click on the link: “Highlight and raise” which is next to every ad (please see the screenshot, click on it to enlarge);
    • There are several highlight terms (or periods) available, as well as the option of special ad placement on the frontpage (it might not be available in every category).
  4. Recharge your balance;
  5. Highlight your ad
    • In order to do so, click on the link: “Highlight and raise”, choose the type of ad placement and the terms of ad placement and, press “Highlight my ad”;
    • Your ad is going to get highlighted instantly.
  6. Done!
    You can prolong the term of special ad placement anytime you like, even before your prepaid term is over. In this case, the new term will be properly recalculated and added to the current one.
What are the advantages of registered users over non-registered users?
There’sa personal profile which was created especially for registered users where you could manage your ads. It displays all ads added by a registered user, which saves time.
You can edit, update and delete your ads from your personal profile.
The maximum ad length is increased to the max for registered users.
Registered users don’t have to re-enter their contact information every time they log in, you only enter it only once, at the time of your registration and it’s used in all your ads.
Registered users don’t have to enter a verification code (CAPTCHA).
We have tried to make working with ads enjoyable and convenient.
How do I get a password reminder for an ad which was added by an unregistered user?
If you see this after adding your ademail specified, you could use the automatic password reminder system, which is available on the individual ad page, at the bottom (in «Ad management»)

If you haven’t specified any email address at the time of adding your ad, contact the administrator via the contact form.
I have added several ads before, but now I can't seem to be able to find them. Where did my ads go?
A complex automatic monitoring system has been created to prevent intentional or unintentional duplication of ads. The main aim of this monitoring system is to find and to eliminate all ad duplicates, leaving only one, the most recent copy. In the most severe cases of multiple violations, all ads will be deleted.
In other words, adding the same or very similar ads in different categories or in different regions would make no sense, as all ad duplicates will be removed in no time at all.

We would like to mentionthe negative impact of posting ad duplicates at regular intervals.

As you may know, a huge amount of target visitors comes from search engines which index (read) webpages and subsequently, search them (it’s worth mentioning that the indexing process might take a few days). Search system on this website. Why can't I find my ad when searching for it by a keyword?
It takes a little while for your ad to upload, before it could be found in search by keywords.
The reason behind this is the need to check and index all new ads with this bulletin board’s search engine.
Currently, indexing and updating of the search database happens once per hour.

Please note: Archived ads are automatically excluded from keyword search results, unless you specify otherwise in settings.

You can check your ad indexing status by entering your ad’s ID instead of a keyword.

We only count real visitors (not robots and bots). This is AN BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR BULLETIN BOARD ANY OTHER AD BOARD, where the number of digits on the counter is several times bigger than the total number of visitors on the site.

Unique views - the number of unique users who were shown a specific ad in the general search within the last 24 hours. This DOES NOT include the number of ad page views. Each user is counted only once, regardless of how many times they saw an ad within the last 24 hours.
Only the number of times your ad was displayed in search results is counted:
  • in categories;
  • by key words;
Unique ad pageviews - the number of unique users who visited a specific ad page in the last 24 hours. Each user is counted only once, regardless of how many times he visited a specific ad page throughout the day.
Unique phone number requests - the number of unique users who wanted to find out the phone number of a user who placed a specific ad. Each request from a particular user within the last 24 hours is counted only once, no matter how many times he/she makes a request to see that phone number.
Please pay special attention to those ads where:
  • there are many ad displays but, a few views;
  • there are many views but a few phone number inquirers;
This data may indicate that this ad isn’t worth checking out.

What’s better - huge numbers on the counter and extremely low conversion or real ad returns and adequate conversion? It’s up to you to decide!

Hide your temporarely outdated ads
You don’t have to delete your ad if it‘s no longer relevant on our website - it might become relevant again after a little while.

Instead of deleting your ad, you can temporarily hide it. A hidden ad is unavailable to the website’s users.

You can also restore your ad any time you like. At the same time, your ad’s URL will stay the same as before.

Using your Ads as Templates
On «Opor.ng» you can create a great looking ad just once and use it as a template for your future ads.

This great feature will save you time and effort!

How to configure your ad update reminder system

There is an Automatic Ad Reminder System on «Opor.ng» for those ads, which haven’t been updated for more than N days, where N=7-30.

You’re welcome to use our warning system, which warns you automatically if your ad’s term of publishing is about to expire.

System settings are available at: My personal profile -> Ads -> Settings (an image of a gear)

If a user does not respond to 5 messages in a row, e. g. if those messages ended up in your SPAM folder, our reminder system turns off automatically.

If our reminder system was disabled for whatever reason, you can always enable it manually in your Personal Account (see the instructions above).

Require prepayment? Check the availability of goods and be vigilant!

Attention! This is a general warning about fraudsters, it is displayed under each ad and it does not refer to a particular seller and/or a company!

Common sense and simple security measures
  • Check the availability of goods
  • Compare the name of the person and the name of the card owner
  • No rush! A backaway cargo that needs to be quickly loaded often takes years to be delivered.

Simple but effective verification of the availability of goods

  • Ask the vendor to give you a video call on Viber, Telegram, Skype or any other popular app and show you the product.

    This can be done even if you do not have a camera, but it requires a camera on the seller’s side.

  • Ask the seller to take a photo of the goods with a piece of paper on them on which a code word which YOU and YOU ONLY will give the seller (e. g. today’s date + any word) will be written.

    This simple security check makes it extremely difficult for fraudsters to use other people’s photos from the Internet, which in some way guarantees the availability of goods...

    It’s pretty easy to take a photo of a product If it’s available and, an honest seller wouldn’t refuse to do that!

What if the seller does not have Viber, Telegram, Skype or any other messenger, nor he can not make and send photos of goods for any reason whatsoever (broken camera, can’t take pictures and send photos)? Does the seller have the right to demand a prepayment? Definitely not!

What if you and the seller have agreed that you would come and pick your purchase up in person but the seller is demanding a down payment in case you’re buying some perishable goods?
If the buyer decides to change his mind and calls off the deal, making a down payment wouldn’t be the solution, since the goods would go bad and the losses will clearly be higher than the amount of your prepayment (thus, making a prepayment would be pointless)
If we are talking about a large batch of goods, asking for a prepayment seems strange and illogical, because sale/purchase - is a mutually beneficial deal (again, asking for a down payment would be pointless)
Please note that in case you decided to go and collect your goods in person, you should also be really cautious, since there have been cases when potential buyers would drive for hours, trusting the promises of a favorable price just to get robbed.

Если What if you are sure of the goods’ availability and have decided to make a deposit? Ask the seller to send you an email (do not simply wire it down) in which they would clearly and carefully indicate:

  • a name and a full description of a product you’re asked to make a prepayment for;
  • their full name
  • their credit card number;
  • a prepayment amount;
  • a total price of goods;/li>
  • the way of goods’ delivery; if it’s pick up, ask the seller to give you a clear address, date and time of your meeting,
  • as well as any other info you might need.

Do not pay upfront if the seller’s name and the name on the credit card number do not match, as in 95% of the time deals like that don’t end well.
Making a prepayment onto someone else’s bank account (their wife’s, husband’s, mother’s-in-law or their other relative’s credit cards) shouldn't be an option, since you haven’t even seen those goods/products yet.
Seller’s disregard for formalities may suggest that they will treat further transactions in the same manner.

You should understand that, in 99% of cases, making a prepayment is just topping up someone’s account without a legit reason for it.
In fact, you are simply crediting another person’s account however, it would be up to them to decide whether or not they wanted to meet their obligations.
Make sure you keep all your checks/receipts from the transfer until you get your goods and get a chance to examine them.

A sale/a purchase is a mutually beneficial deal - you would like to buy the goods, but the seller also wants to sell them.

In 90% of all cases, you can do without prepayments, for example, the seller could dispatch the goods and then you would pay in cash on delivery.

What if a seller is offering you a really appealing price (which is actually below the market average price) for legit goods/products with self-delivery and payment upon receipt options.

You’d think there’s no catch, but if you really look into it...

A buyer is given a typical reason for being able to offer goods/products at a relatively low price, such as company debts, seller’s personal debts, personal discounts of a company employee, etc. etc.

The purpose of all this is to convince a buyer to make a payment for the goods/products to the third party, instead of paying directly to the company which had dispatched the goods. At the same time, a buyer is strongly advised not to discuss the price with anyone during loading, so that you do not have to pay the market price for it.

Lets say, the loading starts and a buyer agrees to transfer the money to a third party, hoping to make profit.

After dispatching the goods, a seller will demand payment from a buyer and at that moment, the details of this fraud scheme begin to clarify.

The result of the fraudulent scheme is this: your money goes to the third party (fraudsters), leaving the you high and dry.
Be vigilant and alert. Keep your head when you see a super low price. It is unreasonable to make a payment to a third party, without at least informing the seller, to say the least!
